Subway Worker Beaten To A Pulp Because Toilet Was Out Of Order

A Subway worker was brutally attacked by two customers after he told them the toilet was out of order.

Ben Person, 21, was beaten unconscious by the teenage boys - both no older than 16 - before being continually kicked and stamped on, leaving injuries all over his face.

In addition, hospital workers who treated his wounds believe he was cut with a blade, as he has a perfectly straight cut underneath his eye.

Opening up about the traumatising incident, Ben said: "They just started beating me up and stamping on my head.

"I remember I was saying stop, stop and then I blacked out. When I came back they were still going. I thought they'd never stop.

"When I came round they were still kicking me. I thought they'd never stop. It seemed to go on for ever and there was nothing I could do.

"The reason for the outburst of violence was simply because the boys had been told they could not use the Subway toilet because it was out of order."

It's hard to believe why anyone would launch such a savage attack that was seemingly unprovoked. Ben was badly hurt, but incredibly lucky not to have suffered something worse than the injuries he received.

Apparently the attackers were part of four boys who entered the Subway branch last weekend. When asked if they could use the toilet, Ben said that it was out of order and politely reminded them that they had to buy something if they wanted to stay in the shop.

"I tried to be helpful and told them there were public toilets nearby. But as I left the shop at the end of my shift they set upon me."

While he was in hospital treatment for his injuries, one woman who came across his story and was overcome with sympathy decided to set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for Ben during his recovery.

Although it was set up with a £100 goal, well-wishers donated over £500 within the first couple of days.
