Woman Pours Bleach On Men's Groins To Stop Them 'Manspreading'

Heard of manspreading? No, it's not an agricultural abbreviation for manure spreading, nor is it what Big Shaq says when he is buttering his toast. In fact, there's a chance you might do it without even realising.

The term refers to men who sit with their legs spread apart on public transport, taking up more than one seat. Yes, now you know what I'm talking about... nothing like a morning commute with a great bulging moose knuckle on display opposite you, staring you in the face.

Well, for one 20-year-old Russian law student this has become all too much and she has launched a 'video manifesto' in an attempt to tackle the problem.

Anna Dovgalyuk's modus operandi involves mixing water with bleach and pouring it on manspreaders' groins, with her video showing the methodology in action on the metro in St Petersburg.

The mixture was concocted from 30 litres of water and six litres of bleach and is designed to leave a mark on those who are splashed.

Anna said: "This solution is 30 times more concentrated than the mixture used by housewives when doing the laundry. It eats colours in the fabric in a matter of minutes - leaving indelible stains.

"We not only cooled the manspreading down but also marked them with identification spots, so everyone can immediately understand which body part controls the behaviour of these men."

Ballsy.

But for Anna, this is about far more than just seat-hogging, indeed, she isn't about to go and chuck petrol on the face of somebody who has put their bag on the chair next to them. No, this is about fighting an act of 'gender aggression'.

She said: "Men demonstrating their alpha-manhood in the subway with women and children around deserve contempt."

To what extent the men in the video are demonstrating their alpha-manhood or just sitting comfortably seems to vary, with some appearing to be asleep or sat fairly normally. The validity of some of the captions on the video is also questionable, with claims that manspreading is linked to low social status and alcohol consumption seeming particularly dubious.

Regardless, the video has already drummed up more than a million views - though it has received 36,000 dislikes and only 1,700 likes.

Anna has previously made international headlines by flashing her underwear at commuters to raise awareness of upskirting laws in Russia.

Following her latest video, Russian news outlet Rosbalt has claimed that it was a fake and actors were used . But Anna denies this, adding that nobody involved had taken action against her.

She said: "My action is absolutely real. I don't think people are going to go to the police to file a report about jeans."
