Some people are just born lucky. You might say that surviving a plane crash is pretty lucky and you might also think that winning £766,000 is lucky, too. Well, imagine both those things happening to you within six days of each other. That's exactly what has happened to one man.

Mohammad Basheer Abdul Khadar was a passenger on-board the Emirates plane that crash landed in Dubai last week and then he then went on to scoop one million dollars on the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire. It's a dated name for a lottery that - we've been in this millennium for 16 years. Move on.

The 62-year-old granddad picked up the ticket when he was flying to a family holiday in his native India, Gulf News reports. He now believes that he had a 'miracle escape' from flight EK521 for a good reason and that this win might be that reason.

He said: "I value the escape as a more precious gift from God and I knew God saved me for some specific purpose. Probably this is it." He also said that he wants to use the money to help people back in India, specifically children in Kerala who 'need some financial help and medial support.' What a nice lad.

Congratulations on your win, Mohammad.
