Nokia Makes Its Comeback And Is Already Breaking Records

The return of our childhoods.

As the world turns, the sun comes up and the moon goes down, there'll always be that prominent feeling of despair that lies deep in the pit of your stomach because of the realisation that technology moved on so much and forced the Nokia 3310 to become obsolete.

Don't get me wrong, smart phones are great, but when you take it back to basics, playing Snake and creating your own polyphonic ringtones, there's little else that can create that level of nostalgia.

Nokia's legacy is built on its indestructible brick, proved by the fact that they took a long break from producing phones.

Now, though, under the wings of HMD Global, the company has made its comeback in the phone world, launching its first Android handset, the Nokia 6.

And it's already been highly successful. The phone, which was launched in China last week, is already breaking company records with 250,000 people pre-ordering the device in the country. More than any other handset ever. It will officially go on sale in China country on January 19th for around $250 (£205).

No news on if or when it will be coming to the UK.

With a 5.5 inch, 1080p display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage, 16MP rear-facing and 8MP font-facing cameras and curved 2.5D Gorilla Glass, it sounds and looks fantastic. There is a catch though, because it's currently only available in China. The reason behind this is due to HMD recognising the growth in demand for smartphones there, with the number of users is expected to reach 593 million this year.
