Michelle Obama's Face At The Inauguration Is Everything

Michelle Obama's Face At The Inauguration Is Everything

Serious side-eye.

Having an overly expressive face must be a curse: never being able to hide how you feel, being terrible at poker and a good chance you're going to become a meme at some point. I actually have the opposite problem, you can never tell if I've just won £500 on a scratchcard or stepped in dog shit.

Former first lady Michelle Obama is certainly in the 'overly expressive face camp', if her appearance at he inauguration is anything to go by.

Yesterday, the entire world watched as Donald Trump became the 45th president of the United States, taking over from Michelle's other-half, Barack Obama.

Naturally, with the whole world watching Michelle wasn't able to hide a single thing she was feeling, as these amazing pictures show.

It all started with the Obamas inviting the Trumps over for tea, before all the official stuff kicked off. As is tradition, the Trumps brought a gift for Michelle. So far so lovely, right? Well, not according to Michelle's face.

Look at this photo of her when she was presented with a parting gift from the new FLOTUS Melania Trump:

'That's a present for you,' Melania said, but really the present was for all of us and it was this face. Wonderful.

Twitter loved it:

But Michelle didn't stop there. She just couldn't seem to help herself, her and her overly expressive face carried on throughout the photo ops and everyone watching at home loved it:

And going:

And going:

And going:

And going:

I actually think what has happened here, is that Michelle was sick of Barack and Joe getting all the memes and decided now was her chance to become the next Success Kid or Good Guy Greg.

If this was her plan, it certainly seemed to pay off. Hundreds of people took to Twitter to say that Michelle's face summed up how they were feeling.

You've got a tough act to follow Melania; you need to work on that side-eye.
