Cocky MMA Fighter Asks Opponent To Kick Him Again, Gets Knocked Out

Cocky MMA Fighter Asks Opponent To Kick Him Again, Gets Knocked Out

You just couldn't write it.

As an MMA fighter there's a certain amount of arrogance that you have to apply in and around the octagon ring.

Many do it well, but there is a line between what can be seen as arrogance and self-belief, and what is just plain cockiness. Nick Diaz, older brother of Nate, is a prime example. His overall MMA record stands at 27-9-0, with eight of those wins coming in the UFC. In other promotions, such as Strikeforce and Elite XC, he has put in a shift, and usually backs up his arrogance and trash talk with top displays, while still managing to pass under the radar, understated.

Sorry part time UFC fans, I couldn't be arsed name dropping Conor McGregor in there.

Basically, the main point is that if you're going to be cocky, back it up. This fighter clearly didn't get that memo, as mid-fight, after managing to block a kick, he challenges his opponent to kick him again. He then gets knocked into next week. You literally couldn't write it.

I love it when that happens.

Clearly chatting out of his arse, and then BANG, sit down, pal.
