Evangelista Santos Suffers Grim Skull Injury After Fight In London

New pictures have emerged showing the extent of the injury MMA fighter Evangelista Santos suffered during a fight at the 02 Arena on Saturday.

The Brazilian was facing Michael Page at the Bellator 158 event when he was met with a jumping knee to the face.

It was bad at the time, but when you look at the damage it caused, it's an even tougher watch.

Santos's ex-wife Cris Cyborg, also an MMA fighter, has been plugging a crowd-funder in the aftermath to assist in the hospital bills.

She writes: "Fight fans please say a prayer for my ex-husband Cyborg Santos. Many of you watched him fight on Spike TV this weekend when he suffered this injury while fighting in London.

"Cyborg is still in the hospital in the UK, and they are not sure when he will be able to fly again. He has not had surgery yet and their (sic) worry is the brain can continue to swell causing more damage. The Dr said this very easily could have been life threatening.'
