Anyone with half a brain knows that you treat places of worship with respect, no matter what the religion.
For instance, don't wear a hat when in church. I learnt that when I was about five.
However, doing something as insensitive, though nonetheless harmless as playing Pokémon Go, should probably be met by a few shaking heads and someone politely asking you to stop.
Not in Russia it seems.

Ruslan Sokolovsky decided it would be a good idea to post himself playing the game in the Church of All Saints in Yekaterinburg, a Russian Orthodox Church, at the beginning of last month, as reported by The Guardian.
It wasn't a good idea... at all.
The church, also known as the Church of the Blood, is a particularly poignant holy place, also being built on the place Tsar Nicholas II and his family were killed by the Bolsheviks a century ago.
Here is the video of him playing, which has had just under 1,000,000 views at the time of writing.

Personally, sympathy for Sokolovsky's plight runs thin, as at the start of the video he mentions news reports that explain players could be jailed for playing the game in the church. Then he proceeds to do it and lets the world see it, including his 300,000+ subscribers.

Translated, he says: "I decided to just catch some Pokémon in church because, why not?
"I believe it's both safe and not prohibited by law. Let's go." Only he does know that it can get you in trouble.
He's since been charged and detained for two months, with a police statement reading that he could be in jail for up to five years.
This arrest has been divisive. The mayor of Yekaterinburg has said that the arrest is over the top and that you should not be arrested for 'idiocy'.
What do you reckon? He knew it could get him in trouble, but ultimately he's not done any harm to anyone. What are your thoughts?
