Cocaine Can Make You Have Unprotected Sex

Cocaine Can Make You Have Unprotected Sex

Don't do drugs.

Don't do drugs. There's so much that can go wrong and it's also illegal.

Coke is bad for several reasons. Snorting cocaine can make your nose bleed and eventually cause a big hole in your septum, which is the membrane that separates each nostril. Search Daniella Westbrook. Her cocaine habit was so bad she ended up with only one nostril.

Each time you use cocaine, you increase your chances of having a stroke by six-fold. That's also pretty bad.

But then scientists decided to find out if people on cocaine were more likely to make risky decicions.

So they carried out a really strange experiment. They tested a bunch of people, giving some of them a cocaine pill (!) and others a placebo and then got them to look at photographs of people and ask if they'd have casual sex with them. All in the name of science, eh?

The participants also had to decide which ones were more likely to have a STI.

The study gets even weirder. The participants were then asked if they would use a condom and how long they would wait to have sex with the person in the photograph.

At the beginning of the experiement, 80 per cent of the participants said they'd use a condom.

But the longer a participant on the drug had to wait for a condom, the more willing they were to have sex without.

And the longer they had to wait for a condom, the more likely the people on cocaine would want to have unprotected sex.

The scientists tried it with money to see if impatience in general was a side affect, but it wasn't. So there you have it, you can make bad decisions when it comes to your sex life on cocaine - and could end up with an STI. Not cool.

Drugs in general can ruin your sex life.

A lot of people drink to get rid of their inhibitions and feel less shy, but it also makes you reckless and you're more likely to have unprotected sex while drunk.

And there's some other symptoms - it can cause erectile dysfunction, make it difficult to orgasm for men and women. And if you have too much alcohol, you might throw up which is so romantic!

Other drugs, like weed causes erectile dysfunction, too. Weed also causes lowered interest in sex and decreased fertility. And while LSD may make you feel really close to someone, it's hardly likely to get you in the mood.
