Pizza is probably the most popular meal on the planet. I mean, I've met people that can take or leave a pizza, but I've never met anyone who outright doesn't like pizza.
And even if you did meet someone who didn't like pizza, would you really trust them? Is that the kind of person you want in your life? Would you associate with 'the guy who doesn't like pizza'? I don't think so.
Having said that, if you do know someone who doesn't like pizza, get them in touch with me. I would be interested to know what the fuck is wrong with them.
Anyway, I digress. Pizza is the go-to food for almost any life event. Whether you're staying in to watch a movie with the missus, having the lads round for some poker, or you're pissed as a fart and need something in your belly, you'll almost always get the pizzas in.
However, pizza is essentially just a massive hot open sandwich. All the things you'd put on a pizza are all the things you'd put in a sandwich. But a sandwich is only two slices of bread. A pizza can be, and most of the time is, much bigger than that.
This in turn means the chances of leftovers in the morning is high. A couple of leftover pizza slices for breakfast on a hangover, that's the kind of thing dreams are made of. Perhaps just my dreams, but dreams nonetheless.
At this stage, you have two choices: cold or microwave? If you go cold then the crust and base remains intact but the topping is grim. If you go microwave then the topping becomes more flavoursome again but the crust and base get a bit soggy and shit.
