Crumpets. They're something that most people love at breakfast. It reminds many of weekends spent at their grandparents' house with cartoons on the telly - precious childhood memories. Well, I guess you could still be doing that now so I won't judge.

Anyway, a bakery has come up with an almost indecent alternative to your standard crumpet. A bloody CHOCOLATE ONE. And, if you can take any more good news, a CHOCOLATE ORANGE one.

Just look at that squidgy goodness. Damn.

Who would have thought that something so simple hasn't been done before? Who am I kidding, it must have been done before but this is the first time I've seen it. I'm sure you'll all be telling me in the comments that you've been buying them from your local bakery for donkey's years.

But just look at this filthy melt...

Jesus.

Let's look at more tasty crumpets because, hell, why not.

Holy moly.

I wonder if they're looking for any new bakers? This little lad could definitely help them out.

Jalen opened his own bakery and is hoping to use the profits to buy a new house for his mum. Hold on a second, I've just got something in my eye...

He's taking the whole thing pretty seriously; he's even made himself a little uniform and set up a website. Now, I don't know what you were doing when you were eight, but I'm willing to bet money it wasn't as cool as this.

Jalen told ABC News that he wanted a house that he and his mum can be happy in. But he's also looking at it as a potential business move. He told The Fresno Bee that he wants a house that he and his mum can make memories in, but it would also need a bigger kitchen so that he can bake more things.

Little Jalen is really proud of his mum and said she's the one who inspired him to start up his business.

"My mommy is the best mom on the planet," he said. It's stories like this that just make you feel better about the world for a bit, isn't it?

Jalen's Bakery runs out of the kitchen of his home in California and he makes all kinds of delicious stuff, including banana bread and peanut butter cookies. His hard work hasn't gone unnoticed and one generous man has offered to donate an oven so that Jalen can expand his business.

When I was eight, my mum wouldn't even let me use the kettle, never mind the oven. But I've got a feeling Jalen is a lot more clued up than I was.
