A woman who was cyber-bullied after her leaked sex video went viral has killed herself.
Last spring, explicit footage of Tiziana Cantone, 31, from Naples, Italy, performing a sexual act on a man was spread after she sent it to her ex-boyfriend.
Francesco Greco, a local public prosecutor, has opened an investigation into Cantone's suicide.

Her friend, Teresa Petrosino, said of the ordeal suffered by Cantone: "I wonder how anyone can be so fierce, how to rage against a girl who has not done anything wrong.
"I think that they should be ashamed of all those who have filled the web of insults and meanwhile secretly watched the images."
Even though Cantone eventually had made the video more or less unsearchable in 2015, it continued to reappear across the web.
She would bear the brunt of internet trolling whenever the video made it's way through the cracks. As a result, Cantone quit her job and moved north to Mugnano in Tuscancy.

At the time of her death, she was in the process of changing her name.
