Edward Norton Saved Leo DiCaprio's Life When They Were Scuba Diving

This is possibly the coolest story ever.

Leonardo DiCaprio clearly has a life that is a hundred times more interesting than any of us can ever hope for ours to be.

For one thing, he's good enough mates with Ed Norton to have gone scuba diving with him. For another, Ed clearly likes him so much that he saved his life.

In an interview in GQ, Fisher Stevens, the director of Before the Flood (DiCaprio's new climate change documentary), explained the story.

They were in the Galápagos Islands filming a marine biologist called Sylvia Earle, and Ed Norton just so happened to be there. Damn. Turns out Leo and Ed aren't the bezzies that I had pictured.

Anyway, they all did the dive together. "So we go down and we see 300 Eagle Rays and Spotted Rays and it was an amazing dive," Fisher explained. "Leo bolts away with Sylvia and Edward goes in front of me and the next thing I know, after 20 minutes, I'd lost them all.

"Then I see Leo buddy breathing [with Edward Norton] because Leo's tank was leaking oxygen and Edward had to save him! It was pretty crazy. But he actually did get some film for me and it was good for a second and then it got pretty shaky when he couldn't breathe."

Earlier this year, Leo had revealed that he's nearly died three times. And this scuba diving incident didn't even make his list. According to The Independent, among his near misses includes his plane having to undertake an emergency landing after he witnessed 'the entire wing explode in a fireball', a great white shark entering his cage in South Africa and his parachute once becoming knotted during a skydive.

Jesus, what next?!
