Stop The Press: Greggs Are Launching A Delivery Service

Let's all say a prayer.

A lot of the time it gets to the point where you don't want to have to leave your house to enthral yourself in the gloriousness of a Greggs steak bake.

Even in the mornings, when you're really struggling before work, there's not many things that can top a Greggs sausage butty and a coffee all for just £2.

But the high street bakery - the gift that keeps on giving - has now begun a delivery service.

As ever with these things, the system is being trialed in one area. If it's successful then there'll be the option for it to become the norm nationwide. Now, to our north easterly brethren, we all speak to you directly - please, please, make this work for us.

Deliveries of pasties, rolls, cakes and whatever else you can think of are being tested in Newcastle and will start later this week.

"I am sure Greggs Delivered will provide a popular choice for our businesses, catering for meetings and for people who just fancy a team lunch," Amy Carroll, communications manager at Cobalt Business Park in Newcastle, told the Newcastle Chronicle. "This service adds to a host of fantastic lunch options which staff at the park have to choose from - they will be spoilt for choice!"

According to reports, London and Manchester are next on the list to get the delivery system, with 'Big Dave', a Manchester tram operator, potentially saying: "Meat 'nt potato? Bean 'nt sausage pasteh? To me door? Bring it on. Megah!"

This is exciting, bring it on.
