He did well, too.

The Chase has fast become a very popular tea time quiz show in recent years, only being rivaled by BBC's Pointless. Which one is better is still up for debate, but that's a tin of worms to be opened on another day.

Bradley Walsh is a favourite among viewers, mostly because he once laughed uncontrollably at Fanny Chmelar's name.

The five chasers on the show are billed as intimidating folk who know an awful lot about stuff that is barely useful in day-to-day life.

Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha and Jenny Ryan all have a wealth of quizzing experience under their belts, having made a total of 30 appearances on various shows between them.

The former, better known as 'The Beast', once competed on an old classic: Who Wants to be a Millionaire. And not only did Labbett appear on the show in 2006, he did quite well, walking away with £32,000. Not bad.

His black power suit that he's known for wearing on The Chase is absent, and he's far from intimidating. In fact, he's wearing a pair of my nan's running trainers, so if anything he's lovable.

He glides through the opening questions, only having to use his first lifeline at the £2,000 question.

'The Beast' was very apologetic to Chris Tarrant when he fails to answer a question correctly, but he'd already won a minimum of 32 grand, so it didn't really matter.

And there was no one there coughing away to help him - so well done.
