Thirsty Guy Trolled By Lad Whose Number Girl Uses For Diversions

As if he actually turned up twice?!

Girls have been handing out wrong numbers to guys they're not interested in for as long as anyone can remember.

It's probably ever so slightly better than being friendzoned but still a pretty devastating way to confirm you are not remotely attractive to the opposite sex and your next date will be with a box of Kleenex.

Most guys that get wrong numbered are simply met with a, 'Bro, you got the wrong number' and that's that. But after 23-year-old Australian Joey Royle noticed guys kept texting him looking for a girl called Elsie, he decided to have a little fun.

"I don't know her. I've never met her. She lives in a different state," Joey told TheLADbible. "Once I had a text saying, 'Hey is this Elsie?' and another time I had a call asking for her. It was then I realised there was a trend developing."

While Joey was able to put these guys out of their misery swiftly, one man wasn't so willing to give up on Elsie.

Joey decided to play along as Elsie and managed to get this particularly thirsty guy to go to an ice cream shop twice, introduce himself to a stranger he thought was Elsie, get stood up twice, get told she was dead and still he kept going.

"The guy feels pretty pathetic after he tried to call me, it goes to message bank and he discovers I'm a man called Joseph," Joey added. "But his self-pity is quickly quashed by his thirst and he goes straight back looking for the business."

That thirst is real...

Joey says he has had offers from friends in Melbourne that they would turn up and 'be Elsie' but he couldn't do it to the poor guy for a third time.

He's been through enough.

Elsie, if you're reading this, use a different wrong number. It seems Joey's been through enough too.
