An absolute lad of an MMA fighter has celebrated his victory in a fight in the most Pokétastic way possible.

On Saturday, Bellator's Michael Page knocked out Evangelista Santos with a flying knee before busting out a celebration where he put on a Pokémon trainer's hat and threw a Poké ball at his opponent, who was still lying on the ground recovering from his injuries.

Fucking hell, it's disrespectful but it's also hilarious.

It was reported earlier this week that the augmented reality mobile game developed by Niantic is seeing about 21 million daily active users. Technology news website Techcruch has reported that the game makes a $1.6million daily revenue.

Yesterday the Pokémon Go servers went down and our lives crumbled before us, with a hacking collective known as PoodleCorp taking responsibility for the game going down.

To be fair, given how big Pokémon Go has got, I wouldn't be surprised to see more Pokémon inspired celebrations in the future.

Maybe that should have been Michael's entrance song?
