Awkward isn't it, when you find yourself so deep into a bad situation that you really cannot do anything but play along.
Like being lumped with the boring relative at a wedding, dealing with the stoner or the cryer at a house party, or meeting with the prime minister of Japan and forgetting your earpiece so you can understand him.
That's exactly what happened to President Trump yesterday.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe had been on visit to the White House to meet with the Donald, but unfortunately, communication might have been scant.

As Abe gave his speech, Trump could be seen nodding along and seemingly processing what he was saying via earpiece translation. But in reality, it was all going a bit awry.
White House deputy press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, was asked after the event if the President had worn his earpiece. she said: "I don't believe during that time. But he did see the text and they spoke quite extensively before the remarks."
Trump did eventually put in his aid later on during the occasion but for a moment in time, he had absolutely no idea what was being said or what was going on. Sad!
