Conor McGregor Showed His Class With A Response To A Question About Alvarez

It's not all false apologies and can throwing.

Conor McGregor isn't necessarily a bloke you'd think of as a 'classy guy' when it comes to what he says. With regards to his expensive suits and keen eye for fashion, he could be considered swanky, but him taking a minute to "apologise... To absolutely nobody," proved what comes out of his mouth isn't always elegant.

However, that's why we love The Notroious - he doesn't give a fuck about anything (his words as much as mine), and 95 percent of what he says is genuinely hilarious.

A lot of the time, when in his pre-fight interviews and build up to events, his mind games create the illusion that he's a savage, but his theatrics usually die down in the post-fight come down. Just take the can throwing incident with Diaz, followed by his emphatic "you're a Mexican warrior, brother" quote at the end of their second fight.

Following his bout with Eddie Alvarez, after which he emerged victorious and become the first ever fighter to hold two titles simultaneously, he paid a huge amount of respect to his opponent.

"I knew he was tough," he said when asked whether he was surprised the fight made it to the second round. "I was thinking 'how many smacks could he take?' But he's tough. He's a tough, tough dude and he's fought all over the world, so I've nothing but respect for him.

''I know it's probably a rough one on him and his team but he came, nothing but respect for him, we touched gloves pre-fight so... He's a good man, good solid fighter, nothing but respect.

"But it's my night tonight."

People are claiming this to be the 'real' side of McGregor. Realistically, he's always been a humble guy, and knows exactly when credit is due. You just need to wade through all the expletives and his poetics to find it.
