It's a popular trope in combat sports. Everyone loves trash talking but after you've had your arse handed to yourself then you usually end up being very respectful after the fight. And apparently that happens a lot to Conor McGregor so he posted a video about it.
McGregor is of course the master of the art of giving his rivals a verbal panning but he tends to back it up in the octagon by winning and that usually involves laying his opponent out. But his trash talk almost inevitably leads to his upcoming opponent snapping back at him.
To point out the disparity in what his opponents say before and after their fights, he has posted a video showing exactly that. To be totally honest I'm pretty sure he's done all this to show the clip of Jose Aldo being asked if he remembers their fight.
The bit with Aldo doesn't really show the Brazilian making any comments pre-match and he certainly doesn't say anything after the fight either so it's just a clip taking the piss out of Aldo for the 13 second bout.
Advert
McGregor was stripped of his featherweight title at the weekend with the very much disputable undisputed belt going to Aldo so it would make a lot of sense for the Notorious to be mocking him.
