The Nirvana Baby Has Recreated The 'Nevermind' Cover

Because why not?

The bloke who was the baby on the cover of Nirvana's Nevermind has recreated the iconic image on the album's 25th anniversary.

Spencer Elden, now 25-years-old, was the baby who appeared on the cover of the album that went on to sell 30 million copies around the world.

Yesterday he featured in a new photoshoot for the New York Post with photographer John Chapple.

In 1991, photographer Kirk Weddle asked Elden's parents if he could use the baby for a photoshoot for the band. The shoot lasted 15 seconds and a fish hook with a dollar bill was added digitally to the image later.

Elden's parents made only $200, although Elden had previously recreated the famous underwater pool photo for Nevermind's 10th anniversary in 2001, its 17th in 2008, and its 20th in 2011.

"Every five years or so, somebody's gonna call me up and ask me about Nevermind and I'm probably gonna get some money from it," he told Rolling Stone when he was 12.

Anyway, as it's Sunday afternoon and Nirvana just happen to be one of the sickest bands there has ever been, I figure I'm just gonna end this article with a load of their best tunes for you to blast...

This one's a classic video because they're all playing the 'wrong' instruments...

Then there's Nevermind in its entirety...

Happy Grunge-day.
