Lady Gaga channelled her inner-Ziggy Stardust when she performed a glam rock version of the hit song 'Shallow' from the film A Star is Born at the Grammy Awards 2019.
The star dominated the stage last night accompanied by Mark Ronson as her co-star Bradley Cooper was busy representing at the BAFTAs.

Gaga (real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) shocked the audience when she swapped the songs more emotional and subdued feel for an upbeat tempo, rock rhythm and in the absence of Cooper she covered both parts of the award-winning duet.
The Twitter audience was divided by the performance with many confused by her dance moves and others saying she 'over-performed'.
One person commented: "No disrespect to #LadyGagabc I think she is a very talented artist and an amazing vocalist. However, my neck literally hurts from watching her throw her head back-and-forth like that. #GRAMMYs."

"Why did Lady Gaga overperform that song? It is beautiful and didn't need all that production. #Grammys2019," another said.
A third commented: "Wtf was lady Gaga doing lol #GrammyAwards."
While another tweeted: "#LadyGaga looks, sounds, and dances like the crab from #Moana. #GRAMMYs."
But, despite the lack of love for her on stage performance, it seems people did enjoy the version from A Star is Born as Gaga won two Grammy Awards before she even stepped foot on the red carpet.

Before the ceremony the 32-year-old singer won the award for 'Song with Visual Media' for 'Shallow' and the 'Best Pop Solo Performance' with 'Joanne'.
Her success at the Grammy's came shortly after she won the award for 'Original Music' at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTAs) Awards in London, making her the first person to win a BAFTA and a Grammy in the same day.

When she heard about the BAFTA Gaga sent out an emotional tweet that included a photo of her crying - with joy we presume.
Now it's on to the Oscars for the pop star where she has two nominations, on for for 'Best Actress' and the other for 'Best Original Song'.
