Has the love life come to an abrupt end recently? Maybe the guy or girl from Tinder, who seemed super keen at first, has gone all quiet, or your recent dates are forming a pattern of being simply. fucking. horrific?

Well, this might just be your calling because producers are on the hunt for the next batch of singletons to appear on Channel 4 reality shows First Dates and First Dates Hotel - and you can apply right now. How lucky are you?!

In a statement, TV bosses said: "Our award winning Channel 4 dating series, First Dates and First Dates Hotel, are looking for singletons searching for love.

"Each episode will feature a number of intimate first dates. In-depth interviews will help the viewers get to know the daters.

"Discreet cameras will record the date from start to finish - from first impressions, through all the awkward, heart-warming and funny moments, to the end of the date and the discussion about whether or not a second date is on the cards.

"If you're looking for love, apply now by completing and submitting the following application form."

Could you find love on First Dates or First Dates Hotel?

I mean what could possibly be more appealing than knowing millions of people are watching you and your crap dating tekkerz? Many things, to be quite honest.

But, if this sounds perfect then put yourself forward. To qualify for the shows, you must be 18 or over and you'll have to provide some info about yourself, including your occupation, your body type, your height (which, strangely, must be between 3'11" and 6'6"), your sexual orientation, your marital status and whether or not you have kids.

Applicants will also have to upload a photo and short video of themselves along with a personal description and an outline of their ideal partner. Sounds nothing less than cringe-worthy.

Finally, you'll need to provide links to your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube accounts (if you have them).

The Channel 4 programmes have sparked discussion in the past, most recently when it comes to who should pay for dinner.

One potential couple who appeared on First Dates hit a bit of a brick wall when it came to the all important decision of whether the bill is split or paid by the man or woman.

This seemingly innocuous question was met with a look of anxiety on the man's face, as he then sheepishly asked his date if she was happy to split it. But, the look on her face clearly screamed, 'No, I do not want to pay half.'

Eventually they agreed to go Dutch but unsurprisingly their romance didn't recover from what happened and they agreed that perhaps they weren't right for each other.

Even after he has put her in a a cab, she tells the driver: "I would have preferred a man that would pay for my meal, but what can you do?"

If that doesn't make you reach for your phone to apply, we don't know what will. Click here to put yourself forward to take part in First Dates or First Dates Hotel.

Good luck and, remember, no giants.
