The creators of The Simpsons are always sneaking in little Easter eggs for their own amusement, like this Futurama poster which was slipped into the background:

Or the fact that creator Matt Groening hid his initials into every drawing of Homer -his hair makes a M and his ear is G. Homer himself mentions this in an episode in season 16, when he tells Lisa 'and for some reason my hair and ear form an M and G'. Nice.

One of the absolute best, though, is the McBain movie that was slipped in. A fan, who obviously has a fair bit of time on their hands ,pieced together every clip of action-star McBain's movies from the early episodes to find that it actually makes a mini-movie.

This isn't a new thing, but it's been doing the rounds again recently. And, to be honest, last time I saw this I just thought it was a bit of wishful thinking on a fan's part, but it does seem legit. The name of the villain stays the same throughout, for example, and it does seem to follow a loose storyline.

Hidden within this episode, Treehouse of Horror VI, Homer ends up in a 3D world after falling into a vortex and at one point there is a string of numbers behind him: 46 72 69 6E 6B 20 72 75 6C 65 73 21. Someone, and God knows who, converted this into ASCII and it reads: 'Frink rules!' If you remember the episode, Homer calls on Frink to come and help him.
There was also this opening sequence which saw Bart writing 'I am not a 32-year-old woman'.

Of course, back then Bart was voiced by 32-year-old Nancy Cartwright. He's also been seen shown writing: 'I should not be 21 by now'.
