It's here, what we've all been waiting for - a Game of Thrones season eight trailer has finally dropped and we couldn't be more excited.

HBO unveiled the trailer at São Paulo's Comic Con today and it's enough to get fans ready for winter to come around more than ever.

The trailer shows a sweeping map of Westeros with a statue of a wolf being taken over by snow. A statue of a lion is also engulfed in flames before the ice and fire meet in the middle.

It may not have given too much away but it could certainly be hinting at the war to come in the next series, which will be broadcast on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in April. It seems the wolf represents Jon Snow and his fight against the lion, Cersei Lannister.

The ice swallowing the wolf could be hinting at Jon's fight against the Night King - which we know is going to happen in the third episode of the series in an epic hour-long battle. Fire over the lion could also be Daenerys Targaryen and her remaining two dragons taking on Cersei for the Iron Throne.

It's all up in the air what we've exactly got to expect next but this trailer is another step in the right direction in getting us towards the start of the last series.

The official hashtag for the final series of show is #ForTheThrone.
