Fox News Host Says He Hasn't Washed His Hands In 10 Years

A Fox News host has said he hasn't washed his hands in 10 years because 'germs are not a real thing'. OK, pal, whatever you say - I'm still not shaking your hand.

Pete Hegseth from Fox & Friends admitted that he's not given his hands a wash in a decade during Sunday's show in front of his shocked co-hosts Jedediah Bila and Ed Henry.

He revealed: "My 2019 resolution is to say things on air that I say off air. I don't think I've washed my hands for 10 years. Really, I don't really wash my hands ever.

"I inoculate myself. Germs are not a real thing. I can't see them. Therefore, they're not real."

Adding that his hands 'look pretty clean to me'.

Prompting Bila to say: "Someone help me. Oh man.

"So, you're becoming immune to all bacteria? My dad has this theory, too."

Come on people, you really need to be washing your hands.

As he made the bizarre confession laughs and gasps can be heard off camera - pretty understandably, really.

Hegseth admitted to the gross fact shortly after his co-hosts had been taking the piss out of him for eating day-old, leftover pizza.

In repsonse to someone who shared his sentiment on Twitter, Hesgeth used the hashtag #DontWash, before following up with a second tweet sharing a USA Today article about the on-air admission and writing: "To paraphrase the President from an hour ago: The Media is so self-righteous and ANGRY!

"Loosen up and have some fun. The Country is doing well (as is my health!) P.S. I also support drinking from garden hoses and riding bikes w/o a helmet. Cue outrage..."

Well, whatever works for you, man. However, the Centers for Disease Control disagrees, its advice online reminds people that 'regular hand-washing particularly before and after certain activities, is one of the best ways to remove germs, avoid getting sick, and prevent the spread of germs to others'.

The delightful advice goes on to state: "A single gram of human faeces-which is about the weight of a paper clip-can contain one trillion germs."

Lovely stuff - let's hope Hegseth was joking, eh?
