Cinemas in the United States are showing all 22 Marvel films back-to-back, as part of a huge marathon.

That's 60 hours - 59 hours seven minutes, to be exact - of superheroes to sit through. Just think about that for a second - that's more than two days sat in the theatre. Two days.

There's no doubting it's a good way of getting yourself reacquainted with the films, but one thing's for sure, it's definitely not one for the faint-hearted.

AMC Theatres is staging the event, announcing it on their Twitter page, with the description on the website says: "At AMC Lincoln Square 13 (New York), AMC River East 21 (Illinois) and AMC Metreon 16 (California), fans will have the opportunity to experience a 22-title Marvel movie marathon unlike any other."

If that doesn't sound like your kind of thing, there's not long left to wait until Avengers: Endgame lands in cinemas across the world - and at three hours two minutes, it's definitely more manageable.

Since tickets went on sale this week, fans have been falling over themselves to make the first viewing on 25 April.

And with fans so desperate to get their hands on one, some people have been trying to take advantage, selling them on auctions sites for more than $1,000.

An eBay user in the US is selling four tickets for the opening night screening at the Dolby Cinema in Chicago/Skokie for $5,000 (£3,803).

There are more selling for $125 (£95), $200 (£152) and $500 (£380).

Tickets for Avengers: Endgame are being sold online for more than $1,000.

In the UK there's a ticket going for the opening night that will set you back £380.37 ($500.66). Others are going for £152.15 ($200) and £125.52 ($165).

This is going to be one spenny trip if you're really this adamant to see it. As if you don't need to get a mortgage out already for some popcorn and a drink.

The fourth and final instalment of the EPIC Avengers franchise will be released on 25 April in the UK and its set to have the biggest opening weekend in US movie history.

We can't say we're all that surprised to be fair - fans have been on the edge since the end of Infinity War.

Predictors at Exhibitor Relations have said they expect Avengers: Endgame to make an astonishing $282 million (£212m) on its opening weekend in the United States.

Tickets are available on Odeon's website here, Vue cinemas tickets can be found here.
