If you've loved getting a rant in, or two, about the fact there's Easter eggs on shelves in January or Halloween goods on sale in August, this is one for you - Hallmark Channel just announced that it will be screening its Christmas movies all year long.

That's right if you're feeling like you dropped that Christmas spirit back in January you can pick it right back up again by flicking the channel over.

The Hallmark Channel took to social media to announce the big news that no longer will lovers of the festive period need to count down the days on their calendars until winter rolls back around - although, with this current weather you'd be forgiven for thinking we're still amid the festive period.

If you've ever sat in June and thought 'I really want to watch A Christmas Carol' you're set - oh wait, you haven't? Ok, good thought it was just me.

Ok, there are loads of people out there that are pretty excited about the roll-out of festive films.

One person commented: "I'm always watching Hallmark Channel and don't know why I didn't know about this until tonight! But, now that I do know about it, this is the greatest thing since Hallmark introduced Christmas Keepsake to fulfil our Christmas viewing needs in the summer."

"This is awesome, I tuned in last night not knowing and couldn't believe there was a Christmas movie on," another said.

While a third added: "I'm super excited! Don't stop at just one movie every Friday... play them all night long... better yet please add a Hallmark Christmas Channel! Everyone could use a little Christmas all year long!! Thank you Hallmark Channel!"

This is following some pretty exciting news from the Hallmark Channel - the company announced it's looking to cast extras for upcoming Christmas movies.

Basically, if you love Christmas and have dreams of appearing in a film, this is your moment.

The news come from the film producer Andrew Gernhard - he said his New Britain-based Synthetic Cinema International (SCI) is getting ready to create some new romantic Christmas films set for release next year.

On the SCI website it states: "Seeking Non-Union locals for background roles in a feature film shooting in Connecticut. All must be able to provide their own transportation to and from the set."

Christmas movies all year round? A chance to appear on the big screen? The festive spirit truly is here to say.
