San Diego Comic-Con has given us a whole load of new trailers, secrets from behind the scenes and previously unknown information that's just blown our minds.
Comic-Cons are no longer just for nerds, everyone. They're cool now.
For those of you who have been repping the nerd title long before The Big Bang Theory propelled it into the place that it is now, I salute you.
Anyway, I think we can all agree that Game of Thrones is one of the best pieces of television that's ever been made - right? Unless you haven't seen it. In that case, just watch it. It costs a bomb to make each episode so the least you can do is indulge them.
Possibly the best episode ever was 'The Battle of the Bastards'. But according to the Game of Thrones Comic-Con panel on Friday, it was supposed to be significantly different and, in turn, much more badass, reported Digital Spy.
Director Miguel Sapochnik explained that the battle was originally based on on the Battle of Agincourt. However, it ended up more like the Battle of Cannae.
What does that mean, though?!
Well, originally Jon Snow's men were supposed to be encircled by horses rather than men. You know the bit where there's loads of shields and you realise that Ramsay had this plan all along?! And that Smalljon Umber is actually a prick lizard? Man, that was good telly.
Sapochnik explained: "Originally, we were gonna have a lot of horses, like seven-horses deep and they were gonna charge the horses... and then actually surround the allied troops and crush them with the horses.
"The trouble is, if you run horses at people, they don't like it.
"The first time they're alright, the second time they're like, 'I don't really wanna run at these people', the third time [the horses think], 'I'm not going'.
"So the decision was, we weren't gonna run horses at people, we were going to run people at people."
It worked out much better in the end as the wall of shields also helped to save money. They didn't have to have loads of people fighting in the background as you couldn't actually see the background. Clever. He added: "It was all about trying to cover this big pile of chicken wire that we didn't have time to cover."
Kind of ruins the fantasy a little but hey, I'll allow it.
