Avengers Fans Thank NASA For Returning Tony Stark To Earth

The latest Avengers: Endgame trailer confirms he is back

It's such a nightmare when you find yourself floating around in space, trapped in a robotic suit of armour. Come on, we've all been there.

Thankfully though, if there's anyone out there who will have your back, it's NASA. Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, certainly has loads to thank them for, if the latest trailer for Avengers: Endgame is anything to go by, as it appears to confirm that he's back on Earth.

That's right - the first trailer for the movie made it seem like Stark's days were numbered, depicting him trapped in space with his oxygen running out - so you can imagine why fans might have been concerned for the Marvel favourite's welfare.

So what else would Avengers fans do than go directly to the crew that rescued him, and flood NASA's Twitter account with messages of thanks?

Of course, there's some background to this. When the first trailer was released back in December, NASA was kind enough to give Marvel and the Avengers some kind words of advice on how to get Stark back safely.

The US government agency tweeted:

Robert Downey Jr, who plays Stark in the franchise, also thanked them for looking out for him, tweeting NASA to say thanks for having his back, as you do.

The brand new trailer for Endgame really did take us by surprise when Marvel cheekily dropped it on Thursday, with seven weeks still to go until its release date. It was only confirmed last week that production had been completed - the Russo Brothers really like to cut it fine, don't they?

The latest trailer not only included a glimpse of the new Avengers suits, but also gave us a glimpse of Captain Marvel, aka Carol Danvers, confirming what many had suspected: the character (played by Brie Larson) is set to be involved.

Thor managed to get a new hammer in Infinity War, and we're reminded of that as it flies past Captain Marvel's head at speed, to which she doesn't even bat an eyelid - once again proving that she's one cool lady.

And the god of thunder obviously agrees, as he says: "I like this one."
