Ant And Dec Use Golden Buzzer On Britain's Got Talent

Ant and Dec have used their Golden Buzzer on tonight's episode of Britain's Got Talent, securing a place in the live shows for a completely unique act.

Thirteen-year-old Akshat Singh from Mumbai, India, appeared before judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams with his dance act.

Speaking to Ant and Dec, he confidently told the hosts he was feeling 'superb' and that he was going to 'rock' before popping out on stage to wild applause.

Prior to throwing some serious shapes, he first shared his rules to live by, telling the judges: "I have two mottos in life: to make people happy and to show that nothing is impossible." Nice.

When he started off, it's fair to say the judges didn't seem to know how to react, but after urging the audience not to underestimate kids, the crowd got fully behind him and loved his off-beat dancing.

He ends his act by pulling off the very tricky box splits, completely wowing the audience.

Akshat, who has previously appeared on India's Got Talent, got a standing ovation from the judges and the crowd, with Amanda shouting: "That's amazing!"

Simon was also bowled over, saying: "I was not expecting that. A lot of kids are going to watch and absolutely love what you do, because you're fun. You've got great personality. This is your moment."

Equally impressed, David said: "I wish I was 13 and watching you up there on the stage. You would have made me feel like I could achieve absolutely anything."

Dec added: "He did what he said he was going to do - he's made us happy."

But when the time come to vote, Ant and Dec stormed the stage, walked up to the judges' table and used their Golden Buzzer for 2019. Very well deserved.

"I wasn't expecting that," Simon added as the stage was covered in gold confetti.

The whole thing was a bit too much for Akshat, who ended up in tears, while his proud mum looked on beaming and he reiterated that he wanted to be happy and make others happy. What a lovely little guy.

Asked by Ant and Dec how he felt after his stormer of a performance, he said: "Superb."
