Michael J. Fox has got himself his first tattoo at the tender age of 57.
The Back to the Future star took to his Instagram to show off the brand-new ink - depicting a sea turtle swimming through five rings - on his forearm.
He went to the top New York studio Bang Bang Tattoo, owned by Keith 'Bang Bang' McCurdy. Seemingly so delighted with his new tattoo, Michael handed McCurdy and tattoo artist 'Mr K' a signed pair of grey and white Mags sneakers and a hover-board. Pretty cool day at work for those guys, then.

The studio, which has a number of celebrity clients, including Justin Bieber and Rihanna, shared a photo of Mr K and McCurdy holding their signed goodies with Michael stood in between them, alongside the caption: "For @realmikejfox thank you for the trust as well as letting us fan out a bit after! Thank you for sharing the story of your tattoo with me. Keep following that turtle."
In a post to his Instagram, Mr K wrote: "Represents his life and himself. Can't decide how I feel today @realmikejfoxit was an honour."
Oh, and if you're wondering why he chose a sea turtle, McCurdy revealed to Inked Magazine that the animal was important to the actor.

He said: "He was telling me that there was a transformation for him with his career decisions when he was swimming in Saint John.
"He spotted this turtle with a chunk missing from its fin and a scar on his face. And that turtle let him swim with him for about a half an hour."
"He made a transcending decision right after that. So that turtle was pretty significant to him."

Michael was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease back in 1991 but didn't go public with the news until 1998.
Speaking about tattooing the actor, McCurdy added: "I think that he did really well. This is something that can affect him really heavily or not as much, but he had a great day."
Well, I'm sure he'll be back - because, as anyone with tattoos will tell you, they're pretty bloody addictive.
