Beyoncé Had A Full-On Pregnancy Photoshoot And The Photos Are Amazing

She's determined to break the Internet.

Beyoncé's Instagram pregnancy announcement is the most liked post to ever appear on the site, racking up 7.8million likes in just 18 hours and that number is still climbing.

Every time you hit refresh on her post you'll see she's gained a bunch more likes and comments. It's phenomenal.

When you see a photo like that, you probably don't think much about who actually took the picture. Or you probably presume it was Jay-Z who took it after making a quick dash to his local BP garage to pick up some flowers, right?

Well, no, it turns out that photography like that takes, planning and dedication. The man behind the camera is a photographer called Awol Erizku, who I suspect is probably having a very busy day.

Awol, 28, was born in Ethiopia before moving to the South Bronx, New York, he earned a master's degree in fine art from Yale University and, as well working with sculptures and video installations, he was recently hired to do Beyoncé's pregnancy shoot.

And, if you thought the veil and flowers was over the top, wait until you see the other snaps. They are next level:

The artist has previously snapped Bey and Jay for Vogue magazine, while they were in Paris in 2014, and it seems that they enjoyed his photos so much they decided to enlist him in their (successful) bid to break the Internet last night.

In his previous exhibitions Awol has released 'conceptual mixtapes' to act as a soundtrack for his visual creations. His show titled I Was Going To Call It Your Name But You Didn't Let Me featured music and art.

He told The FADER: "Each and every one of these paintings are titled after a song that makes up the tracklist, checklist, and mixtape that we are hearing now." The show featured a remixed version of Crazy In Love by Beyoncé.

The other photos haven't appeared on Awol or Beyoncé's Instagram accounts yet, but I'm pretty sure we can expect more of the same if theydo.

Beyoncé caused a social media storm yesterday, when she announced that her and hubby Jay-Z are expecting twins.

As well as an outpouring of love for Queen Bey there was also a lot of piss-taking, which you can check out here.

With a star as big as Beyoncé, naturally you would have expected a fair few 'likes' on her Instagram announcement, but, she's done even better than that. A mere 15 hours after it was posted, the picture has already become most 'liked' in Instagram history.

The photo smashed the record previously held by Selena Gomez and a bottle of Coke, by over a million, and the number is still growing.

I think this is the social media equivalent of winning the world cup or scooping all of the Oscars. All just for having sex - inspirational!

I mean, almost seven and a half million people, that's unbelievable. That's more than the entire populations of Denmark, Norway or Bulgaria. And double the population of Uruguay.

It's more than the populations of New Zealand and Botswana put together. Just let that sink in.

Congratulations Bey and Jay.

And also congratulations to the Internet for it's hilarious response the the announcement...

Beyoncé's Huge Reaction

The news that she was pregnant with not one, but two little Carters, sent social media into a frenzy.

As well as those wishing to congratulate the happy family, the meme makers also had a great time:

Copying the shot was a popular one:

It seems like the year for celebrity multiple-births; Helen Lasichanh, the wife of Pharrell Williams, has recently given birth to triplets. So, that got a mention, too, obviously:

There was also an appearance from SaltBaeJay:

This meme was around a lot, too, which seems unfair, because Kelly Rowland wasn't that bad.

Oh and this fella, who saw an opportunity and took it:

Thanks, internet.
