Emily Ratajkowski has used her huge social media following to post a passionate protest against the abortion ban in Alabama - and Piers Morgan has had something to say about it, because of course he has.

Em Rata posted an almost naked image of herself, which many have said is a powerful statement against 'old white men' telling women what they can and can't do with their own bodies - with a caption stating that she believes the law is a 'class and race issue'.

Our Em shared the image on Instagram, writing: "This week, 25 old white men voted to ban abortion in Alabama even in cases of incest and rape.

"These men in power are imposing their wills onto the bodies of women in order to uphold the patriarchy and perpetuate the industrial prison complex by preventing women of low economic opportunity the right to choose to not reproduce.

"The states trying to ban abortion are the states that have the highest proportions of black women living there. This is about class and race and is a direct attack on the fundamental human rights women in the US deserve and are protected by under Roe vs. Wade."

She closed with: "Our bodies, our choice."

Piers Morgan then tweeted about the post, slamming her choice to use her body to convey the important message. Oh, the irony.

He posted on Twitter: "Right message, ruined by such a dumb self-promoting photo."

Piers' tweet didn't seem to go down that well, with one user replying: "Well I'm glad I live in a part of the world where she has the freedom to do that if she wants without being stoned or send to prison for 25 years."

The state of Alabama yesterday introduced the strict and extremely controversial law, which bans abortion even in cases of rape and incest. Gross.

Governor Kay Ivey signed the legislation, meaning doctors can be sentenced to 99 years behind bars for aborting a baby and 10 years for attempting the procedure.

Although women won't be criminally liable if they get the procedure done, it will make it extremely difficult for them to get it done safely, considering doctors will be liable.

This has been opposed around the world, with many fearing it will inevitably cause thousands of unsafe and life threatening abortions.
