There's no denying that American Lee Brooke has suffered greatly following an encounter with a grizzly bear. The 61-year-old had his nose ripped off The Revenant style during a hunt last year after separating himself from his group.

Lee appeared on This Morning and told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about the horrifying moment. He says he had killed an elk the day before and 24 hours later, he wanted to find where he reckoned it had died.
Mr Brooke says it was a sense of 'complacency' that saw him in that situation, where, after dozens of hunts, he had forgotten that he was sharing the Wyoming mountains with other, much bigger wildlife.
Shockingly, when he eventually found the dead animal, he realised that a grizzly bear had 'claimed the kill'. When the grandfather turned to run away, he saw a mother bear and a cub either side. The bigger bear grabbed his backpack, slapped him in the face and then mauled him.
Incredibly, even though the bear had him pinned to a log, he managed to pull out his knife and stab the bear several times. The huge animal eventually let go and Lee looked down, to his horror, and saw his nose and his moustache had been ripped off his face and was lying on the ground.

He was on that mountain for seven hours before he was eventually found and then another five hours before he arrived at hospital for treatment for his injuries.
While some people might think Lee's story is short of an amazing feat of human survival and it's mind-bending that he was able to stay alive' others on social media don't agree.
Many flocked to Twitter to express their collective 'Karma is a Bitch' mindset. One person wrote: "That's what you get from hurting poor innocent animals. I'm sorry but I feel no pity for someone who hunts animals for fun."
Another added: "How bizarre to feature this story? 99% of the UK population will believe he got off easy only losing his nose. And he's still hunting!"
This person said: "Like we should feel sorry for him. He went to kill an elk. Got a taste of his own medicine from a bear, who I might add was stabbed by him so that's two cubs with no mother. Leave nature in peace and you keep your face."
You think after having your face literally ripped off by a grizzly bear might make you think twice about fucking with nature. But not for Lee, he says he's already had two hunting trips back to those same mountains.
