There comes a time in every man's life when they have to make a difficult choice: Body or beer?
That choice came for me when I was 21 years old and had just started 'work socialising'. Everybody knows this entails getting as drunk as possible because that's the only way you can tolerate your colleagues. Sadly, it also killed off my budding Sunday league career.
As much as I love my big beer belly and all that it brings to my person, there are times when I look back at pictures of myself and wonder what might have been if I'd chosen to stay in shape.
If only I'd had Barbell Brew back then.
Health retailer Muscle Food has created the new beer that contains 21.8g of protein and an alcoholic volume of 3.6%. I could have had both, damn it. I COULD HAVE HAD BOTH!
The new beer also has just 92.4 calories per bottle, meaning the chances of developing a beer belly diminish drastically.
"Living a healthy lifestyle can be difficult, especially when you enjoy a drink with friends. But now our high-protein alternative means anyone can enjoy a beer without the guilt," said Darren Beale from Muscle Food.

He also says it tastes exactly the same as regular lager while holding 85% fewer carbs and 33 fewer calories.
The price has yet to be confirmed but for many lads out there, whatever it is will be worth paying.
We can have both, lads. We can finally have both!
